Come celebrate the start of the red salmon run and what that means to the Kenai Peninsula by joining in the fun at the Return of the Reds event on June 3rd at the Kenai City Dock from 12-3 pm. The very first fish of the season will be auctioned off to benefit the Kenai Peninsula Food Bank in their fight against hunger on the Kenai Peninsula. There will also be a salmon cook-off between local chefs to see who can deliver the best tasting sockeye dish to discerning judges. With music, educational booths, and delicious food, there will be fun for everyone!

This free community barbeque celebrates spring by partnering with many Kenai Peninsula organizations to provide our community with information on resources, sustainability, and more. There will be free food, games, a cake walk, a petting zoo, and so much more!
