When we realized the amount of turkeys being requested this year and the cost increase, the challenge to provide a turkey to each family in need felt insurmountable. Marathon had donated funds for 400 turkeys, but we needed additional help in covering the other 800 (1,200 turkeys total). Marathon has been donating towards our turkey funds for years, even prior to the Adopt a Turkey campaign. Their dedication to ensure each family has a turkey for the holidays each year is incredible.

Reaching out to our Hilcorp neighbors for additional support this year, we have been overwhelmed with the care and concern for our community! Hilcorp originally challenged their employees to match Marathon’s donation of 400 turkeys through their donor advised funds, but after about a week, there was so much interest that they raised the goal to 800 turkeys. They’ve exceeded that goal as well, ensuring that each of our neighbors will receive a turkey!

We are so grateful to Hilcorp, Marathon, Heaverley Homes - Jack White Real Estate, FRCH Rentals, other community organizations, and individuals, for all their support and for helping us exceed our turkey goal!
