The Kenai Peninsula Food Bank

The Kenai Peninsula Food Bank provides an average of 271 meals to senior citizens and 66 veterans each month

"We feed people because no one deserves to be hungry!"

The Kenai Peninsula Food Bank is a non-profit organization that started in 1988 and provides food to over 70 non-profit agencies for their feeding programs throughout the entire Kenai Peninsula Borough.

The KPFB distributes USDA Commodities, administers an emergency direct service food program, collects and redistributes food through the warehouse distribution program for member agencies, and serves a hot meal every weekday.

We believe adequate food and shelter are the vital keys to empowering hungry individuals to become productive citizens. The Kenai Peninsula Food Bank facility is a supportive and nurturing environment; and, all people are consistently encouraged to reach their highest potential through initiative and creativity. The Food Bank staff facilitates this growth with friendliness and optimism for each individual, helping them to regain their dignity and hope.
